Sheridan College 2018
Hi, I’m Amy!
At age 6, I started working with horses on a family farm, and since then I always knew I wanted to work with animals. I completed my BSc Biology undergrad at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario in 2016. After an experience with my horse, Dezi, in the ICU at the Ontario Vet College, I discovered the world of the veterinary technician and pursued the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College the same year. I graduated in the spring of 2018 and passed my registration exam shortly after.
I have been with the Avonlea and Hollybank family since 2017, and while you may not always see me in the front of the clinic, I am always busy in the back assisting the doctors with surgery and anesthetic monitoring, dental cleanings, taking xrays, performing bloodwork – You name it!
Outside of the clinic, I am an avid equestrian and dog mom. I have a 3-year-old whippet named ALF, and we dabble in lure coursing on weekends in the summer. When I’m not at work, I can be found working on new projects at my new house, working out in my garden or out on adventures with Alf.
